Monochrome apartment interior from Kasia Orwat

Studio Kasia Orwat has created an interesting, unusual black-and-white-gray interior, mixing two fashionable and modern styles: Scandinavian and minimalism. It turned out a kind of design for creative people who appreciate not only comfort and convenience, but also originality.

In the living room, the main color is gray. Very light on the walls and on the floor, in upholstered furniture, it gets a more dense shade, and the facades of cabinet furniture are black.

The living room in this monochrome interior is practically separated by nothing from the kitchen, decorated in the same colors. Household appliances also have a black color interspersed with metallic sheen.

To avoid being bored, the designers added bright color accents - pillows on the sofa, a vase on the table, plants in a pot. Their juicy yellow and green colors add cheerfulness. Three black lamps, stretched out in a line, hang from the ceiling above the black dining room - they mark the separation of functional areas and illuminate the table.

The general idea of a black-and-white-gray interior also contains custom-made wallpapers: a graphic image of a large city with skyscrapers stretching into thin lines visually expands the space, combining the apartment with the surrounding urban environment. Comfort gives the chair “from the past” - such ones were popular in the fifties.

The curtains on the windows are black, they not only play an accent role in the interior, but also tightly block the access of light, which makes it possible to arrange a home theater in the living room at any time of the day.

Green plants are the breath of life, of nature. They soften any monochrome interior. Here, the designers revived the situation with sansevieria (this plant is also called “pike tail”). For use in decorating purposes, it is ideal: it withstands drought, lack of light and vice versa - increased illumination, practically does not require maintenance. In addition, it has the property to purify the air from carcinogenic particles.

In the bedroom, the prevailing tones of the monochrome interior are gray, shaded and softened by a complex violet hue of the velvet cover.

The white matte floor gives the impression of softness, and the warmth is added by the built-in heating, so that in this room you can do without the traditional floor carpet.

The black-and-white-gray interior in the bathroom is distinguished by the active use of black: all furniture has a matte surface of this color. White floors, plumbing and gray walls, on the contrary, shine with gloss.

A third of the wall above the sink is occupied by a mirror. Reflected in glossy surfaces, it contributes to a change in the perception of the size of the room - it seems to be much larger than it actually is. Every little thing is thought out: the door handle and wall switch are similar in shape and texture.

A glass panel replacing one of the walls in the shower does not block the space and allows you to do without additional fixtures.

The small entrance area is decorated with panels that have a glossy surface, wallpapers with a graphic stylized image of a city high-rise tower “pull” the ceiling upwards, and horizontal lines extend the narrow room.

Bright color accents - a green hanger and a stool under it. A funny "cat with a mouse" made of black vinyl, pasted on the wall, will not leave indifferent those who come to visit.
