Design of a two-level loft apartment

Loft-style apartment design is an unusual solution for housing located in Stalinka, Moscow. The owner wanted to have a place where you can relax and unwind in a creative atmosphere - and the brutal urban style was the best way to solve this problem.

To make the interior more interesting, bright red details were added to it. The apartment has an attic, and the loft style in a two-level apartment has its own characteristics: the clear lines of the stairs add lightness, and the possibility of spreading zones vertically opens up great opportunities for designers.

Loft-apartment interior began to make out with a bathroom. He was enclosed in a large red cube, and placed on the lower level. There are no other walls or partitions on this level - all division into functional zones is carried out with the help of decoration, light and furniture arrangement.

The working surface of the kitchen and part of the cabinets are built into the same red cube as the bathroom.

Unusual apron in the work area - it is laid out of glass blocks used in the construction of industrial buildings. This apron solves two tasks at once: from the kitchen it provides easy maintenance of cleanliness in the “dirtiest” area, and from the bathroom serves as a window letting in daylight.

In the design of the apartment in the loft style, these glass blocks are also very bright and expressive details of the style.

Another unusual design element is the use of luminaires similar to lamps, which are used in the fencing of construction sites: an ordinary light bulb is surrounded by a rigid metal mesh.

Long wires ending in such stylish hangers originate above the dining table, with some of the wires going down over the decorative fastener and some of the wires going to the bar counter.

The bar counter divides the loft-apartment interior into the kitchen and living area. The kitchen area is additionally distinguished by the ceiling finish: it is slightly lowered and sheathed with natural color plywood. In all other parts of the apartment the ceiling is pure concrete.

Plywood is the main finishing material of a loft in a two-level apartment. Window slopes and a long podium are made of it, uniting all three windows along one wall. The podium is not only decorative, but also functional: communication systems are hidden in it, and additional storage systems are arranged directly under the windows.

The design of the apartment in the loft style involves the use of unfinished concrete not only on the ceiling, but also on the walls and on the floor. In this case, the floor is self-leveling. Part of the walls in the living room is brickwork, and it was decided to not close it, even with bookshelves.

For books, shelf consoles were made that are practically invisible, and it seems as if the stacks of books were simply piled up against a wall - and suddenly they soared into the air. In fact, taking books from such shelves is very convenient.

Part of the living room is fenced off with a metal rack, in the lower part of which there are shelves, and in the middle is a TV set. Behind the counter is a home mini-gallery where the master’s collection of modern art objects is located.

The interior of a loft in a two-level apartment is united by a metal staircase. It is deliberately rude, connected by large bolts. The ladder does not rest on the floor, and thus does not take away space from the first level: it hangs down from the second level on metal bars, and due to this it looks very light.

The second level is a private zone. Here is a bedroom, complete with master bathroom. Practically, both the bedroom and the bathroom are in the same room, and even visually combined: only a thin glass wall separates them.

The toilet itself is hidden from the eyes in a cube, just as it was done on the first level, only here this cube has a white color. The cube was raised above the floor and illuminated - as a result, it seems that it is floating in weightlessness.

Loft interior of the apartment in the bedroom becomes softer, calmer. The walls of a calm green tone are covered with plaster imitating concrete. The soft upholstery of the bed, the textile carpet on the floor in harmony with the tone and the huge bedspread add a cozy touch.

At the top level, we managed to carve out some space for the cabinet, which can also serve as a guest room.

The work area allows you to comfortably read or work at the computer, and the sofa can be expanded to arrange friends for the night.

The sofa and the table are made of plywood - durable and environmentally friendly material. One of the walls in the office is decorated with a mirror canvas, which visually increases a small space.
