How to design the interior of a 2-room apartment for a family with two children?

Designers from the EEDS studio designed a modern and functional interior design of a 2-room apartment for a family with two children. The designers were given the task to combine the classics and modern style. As a result, fusion was chosen - a very interesting and at the same time complex style.

Fusion (English fusion - "union", "merging") - style in interior design, characterized by a "combination not compatible", that is, combining completely different ideas from the seemingly incompatible interior styles, without losing harmony and integrity.

Layout

When designing the apartment design, niches for built-in storage were provided in the bedroom area and in the living room with TV cabinet.

The shape of the wall, fencing off the entrance area from the living room, was slightly altered - as a result, the corridor expanded and a decorative entrance to the guest area appeared: on both sides of the doorway, framed moldings hung sconces and yellow cones were painted on the wall with yellow paint - it seems that the sconces are burning constantly.

The kitchen turned out to be ergonomic and comfortable, thanks to a well-thought-out arrangement of equipment. This allowed freeing up a maximum of the working surface area and organizing a dining area - a large oval table for four persons.

Finish

The walls of almost all rooms are decorated with wallpaper for painting and polyurethane moldings. The dining area of the kitchen is accented with a decorative wall lined with brick, painted in gray. The kitchen apron is decorated with glossy black ceramic tiles by Giovanni De Maio.

The floor in the hallway, kitchen and sanitary premises, tiled with a decorative pattern in the style of patchwork. In the nursery and living room the floors are made of light-colored floorboard.

Lighting

In the fusion style a large number of various fixtures is allowed, which is successfully used in the interior design of the apartment. Different in style and purpose, they give a special charm to each room.

Almost everywhere, the ceilings have two levels, which is necessary for embedding the spot spots, which are responsible for uniform lighting. Additionally, in the kitchen and the nursery from the ceiling hang down central suspensions. In addition, in the nursery there is an organized illumination of the workplaces of schoolchildren - above each there are two pendant lights, and one - in the middle between them, and also there is an illumination near each bed.

In the corridor, the nursery and the bathroom, the walls under the lamps are painted in a special way: as if the cone of light is directed downward from the lamp. This technique allows you to combine the interior and create the impression of increased illumination.
