Design one-room apartment in the house of the series P-44

The design of a one-room apartment in the house of the P-44 series was designed for a young man, a successful writer. The main tasks in designing living space have become elegant simplicity, maximum functionality and openness of space.

To create a truly exclusive environment, corresponding to its owner, the designer chose a rather complex and rare style - eclecticism. The combination of the Scandinavian interior with elements of the atmosphere of the eighties of the last century made it possible to achieve an impressive effect in meeting the basic requirements of the customer.

Layout

Initially, the apartment was not planned in the best way, so it was necessary to make some changes. So, the bathroom was slightly increased, while the area of the entrance area was reduced. The partition between the kitchen and living room was dismantled. Loggia was used to create a study - it was insulated and attached to the kitchen. As a result, the space of the apartment has expanded, its living space has increased.

Living room

Since the living room in the apartment is one, it performs two functions at once - the living room and the bedroom. In this case, the placement of these functional areas in the room is quite original - the sleeping part is located near the windows, in the bay window, and the living room is near the entrance.

The initial layout of the one-room apartment of the P-44 series was changed due to the demolition of part of the partitions and removal of the doors - they were replaced by partitions made of glass moving along the guides. It is this partition-door that divides the hallway and the living room.

The storage system also turned out to be very original: under the ceiling along the wall there is a row of closed boxes, highlighted by LED tape above: it looks stylish and convenient to use. Books and magazines are kept in racks of unusual shape - the designer has gathered the idea for their creation in the works of the Memphis group.

The construction in the bay area - a podium with color cushions near the wall - can be used as a rest area during the day. At night, the podium turns into a comfortable bed. So that the light does not disturb during the night rest, the windows are equipped with roller blinds. A light curtain of white tulle gives comfort that does not prevent sunlight from entering the room. Three colored suspensions hanging from the ceiling accentuate the lounge area.

The design of a one-room apartment looks original due to the competent use of the available space and the use of non-standard design techniques. For example, an ordinary bookcase has become a decorative element of the interior due to the fact that its shelves vary in height and width.

The cupboard occupied the pier, which is otherwise difficult to use, freeing up the living space. Multicolored book roots in combination with shelves of different sizes look very dynamic and stylish. In addition, the rack serves as a “storage” of the glass partition between the room and the kitchen - it is pushed back into it if necessary to combine both rooms.

Kitchen

The kitchen room also performs two functions at once. This is actually the kitchen where they cook food, and the dining room. The cooking area is small, which is justified in a bachelor apartment. In the dining area, a large table with comfortable chairs around it, a sofa near the wall separating the kitchen and the former loggia, turned into a study.

To facilitate the perception of the kitchen unit, the upper row of closed shelves were not raised too high to the ceiling. To the kitchen equipment is not conspicuous, the facades of cabinets are made in a minimalist decor - they are white, smooth and devoid of handles.

The window block with the door leading to the loggia from the kitchen was removed - they left only the lower part of the wall under the window, closing it on top of the table top. A small table for a laptop was placed in the corner and a chair next to it. It turned out a cozy working area. Such an association is another trick that allowed the P-44 layout to be transformed into a one-room apartment, initially not very comfortable, into stylish modern housing that meets the highest standards of comfort.

Bathroom

The enlarged area of the bathroom due to the hallway contains not only a large bathtub, but also a shower cabin, which is very convenient. The cabin is separated from the washbasin by a solid wall, and from the side of the bath it is closed by glass doors. This solution allows you to isolate the shower area and ensure its privacy.

The niche near the bathroom is covered with greenish glass, illuminated from the inside, and tiled. Its geometric pattern adds dynamics to the interior of the room. The use of fixtures adds coziness.
