A modern comfortable apartment today means maintaining as much open space as possible, while the zones differing in purpose are separated from each other by various methods, both visual - using light, color, finish, and physical - partitions from fabrics, drywall, slats, blinds, glass panels and others.
In the design project of the studio "Wood & Stone vol.2", wood was chosen as the material separating the zones. This is quite a budget option that allows you to solve several problems at once: the space is divided in such a way that visual contact is maintained between the separate parts of the room, the additional warm color of the tree and its expressive texture add comfort.
Layout
In a standard one-room apartment, four zones were identified, while the bedroom in the design project of the studio was allocated a separate block. As a result, 47 square meters. m. placed everything that should be present in a modern comfortable home.
The decoration is dominated by minimalism with elements of Scandinavian and loft-style. The colors are the characteristic white-and-black combinations for minimalism, softened by areas of considerable size, decorated with natural wood.
Living room
In the center of the studio is a corner sofa. It is turned to the kitchen area by the rear part - this position allows you to visually isolate the kitchen area, hide it. Near the sofa is a low, but rather large table that can be further expanded to be used as a coffee for a large company. Opposite to the wall, decorated with brick, hung a TV panel, and also placed a small storage system.
Kitchen
The kitchen is separated from the living room by a wooden shelving with open shelves, the upper part of which serves as an additional narrow worktop. He closely adjoins the back of the sofa. In addition, visually, these two zones are separated by floor coverings: in the living room it is light wood, in the kitchen there is a large format tile with a marble pattern.
A large rectangular table with a wooden tabletop makes it possible to gather a friendly company for lunch, in the interior it is accented with three industrial-style lighting fixtures.
Bedroom
The place to sleep turned out very cozy. Three deaf walls are trimmed with wood, and from the living room area the bedroom is separated by wooden slats, creating a barrier to the eyes, but not light.
In the design project, the studios did not have the usual bed - they built a wooden podium on which they put a mattress with orthopedic properties. The drawer is built into the podium - there you can keep things that are rarely used.
Entrance hall
The entrance area is equipped with a minimum set of furniture: hangers, hooks, a narrow shoe hanger on which you can hold keys, gloves and other small items, and a comfortable soft stool so that it is convenient to change shoes.
There are no storage systems here - the design project of the studio provides for a separate dressing room, which is accessed from the hallway, and seasonal clothing and other necessary things are removed there.
Loggia
The house in which the apartment is located is lined with red brick, it was forbidden to change its appearance. Therefore, it was decided to issue a loggia in a garage style, which made it possible to fulfill the request of the apartment owner: provide a place for storing winter or summer (depending on the season) rubber and some tools. It turned out beautiful and stylish.
Bathroom
The small bathroom is finished in two colors: beige and white. The wet zone is tiled under the tree, the wall near the entrance and the toilet - tile under the concrete.
