Design of an extended studio apartment with one window

The main difficulty in designing a studio apartment with one window was not so much in a small area as in its inconvenient layout: the window is located near a short wall, while the room is very elongated. Such a "car" is quite difficult to transform into a comfortable living environment, but the authors of the project, Yuri and Yana Volkov, succeeded quite well.

Planning an extended studio

To accommodate all the necessary functional areas, they had to be placed along a long wall. The living room is located closest to the window, then behind it is opposite to each other - the sleeping and kitchen areas, and the closest to the door is the bathroom and the hallway.

Studio style and color

Small rooms, as a rule, try to arrange in the style of minimalism, in order to preserve as much free space as possible. In this project, Scandinavian features were given minimalism, thus avoiding the monotony of design.

Background light color of the walls is complemented by natural colors of furniture and fabrics and perfectly combined with bright decorative elements. The use of accent colors in textiles allows you to change the interior according to your mood; this is easy to do: just replace, for example, the pillows on the couch.

Hall and kitchen

An elongated studio begins with a small hallway that passes into the kitchen - there are no partitions. This decision forces to hide in the furniture not only kitchen appliances, but also clothes with shoes.

In the entrance area, in addition to the closed wardrobe, there are also shoe stands, which can be used as tables for bags, keys, gloves and other trifles. Thus, the hallway and the kitchen visually form a single space, highlighted by patterned floor tiles and graphic black lines of the portal.

Living room

This is the brightest room in the design of a studio apartment with one window. It is small in size, but enough to put a roomy sofa. Storage systems are also provided: in the TV area opposite the sofa, there are two suspended shelves almost the entire length of the wall, and between the living room and the bedroom there is a sliding wardrobe with mirrored doors.

The design project of the studio is saturated with mirror surfaces - this helps to visually enlarge a small apartment. Wall posters and photo frames as well as indoor plants are used as decorative elements. They, as well as natural fabrics, give the interior features of eco-style.

Bedroom

This part of the studio is separated from the common space with the help of sliding glass doors. This allows not to reduce the already small area of the room, visually leaving its original dimensions unchanged, and at the same time give the bedroom the necessary intimacy.

The bed is equipped with retractable drawers - it is convenient to store bed linen or seasonal items. Bedside cabinets replaced the headboard with a storage system. Forced ventilation will support air circulation in a small confined space. In addition, a projector was placed in the bedroom - you can watch a movie lying on your bed.

Balcony

The living room in the studio apartment with one window adjoins the balcony. They did not attach it to the room in order not to increase its length even more. Instead, on the balcony equipped recreation area. On the one hand, it has a small couch-couch, on the other - a tall closet for storing sports equipment.

A folding table was placed in the center, and a comfortable folding chair was placed next to it. Here you can drink morning coffee, admiring the waking city, or read a book in the evening. The resulting loggia is trimmed with clapboard painted with various shades of gray: it looks stylish and unusual.

Bathroom

The pattern of the floor covering in the bathroom follows the pattern of the floor in the hallway, but in other colors.

Along one wall is a tabletop with a built-in sink, above it is a full-length mirror. A washing machine is built in under the countertop, and there is also a small storage system. In the same place the linen basket "hides".

On the contrary - shower and toilet. The glass door of the cabin is bordered with black metal, which adds to the interior graphic design. The “striped” theme is continued in a wooden batten tray in the shower.

Thus, on an area of 35 square meters. in an elongated studio apartment with one window fit a full hallway, a kitchen with a bar table, an isolated bedroom, a cozy living room, ample storage space, as well as space for relaxing and equipped with all necessary bathroom with shower.
