Rope baskets

Baskets of thick ropes are very decorative. For work, you will need a flax or hemp variant, at least five mm thick, 22-27 meters long. Step by step, the process looks like this:

  • cut 10 pieces of 70 cm;
  • a frame is made of them - five and five pieces are placed crosswise, another is tied up in the middle. The last cut begins weaving;
  • when the bottom of the desired size is made, a large jar is placed inside the product, a bowl to give shape;
  • when the weaving is finished, the long thread is fixed, the skeleton thread is turned inside, under the edge of the product;
  • basket ready for use.

To make the object more voluminous, the rope is wrapped with strips of cloth.

Veneer basket

The product made of natural veneer looks as if made from real solid wood. You can use another similar natural material - bark.

For work you will need:

  • several meters of veneer;
  • ruler;
  • scissors;
  • stapler;
  • glue;
  • Scotch.

How to perform this craft:

  • the veneer is soaked in water at room temperature for an hour, then it is suspended to let the glass water;
  • the material is cut into strips - their length, width depends on the size of the future design, the number - 14 pieces;
  • also need strips for the sides - there will be from three to seven;
  • seven pieces are taken, fixed with scotch on the table;
  • perpendicular to them, the other seven are woven to make a square;
  • the edges of the bands are bent up with a ruler;
  • now a long piece of veneer is woven to form the rim, its ends connected by glue or a stapler;
  • in the same way some more strips interlace;
  • when the required height is reached, the veneer is folded inward, interwoven under the last horizontal strip.

Twine basket

Weaving from twine is made similarly to rope, with the only difference that the polymer cord is two to four mm thick and almost any color scheme is produced.

What do you need:

  • a small skein of twine;
  • glue "Titan" or other similar;
  • plastic file;
  • small bucket or can;
  • sharp scissors.

Progress of work in stages:

  • slices of 40 cm long are cut from the twine, each of them is covered with “tapes” of three threads;
  • four such ribbons intertwine with each other, after two more are woven;
  • total for the bottom will need eight ribbons;
  • then a long single piece of twine is taken, glued or tied in the center, intertwined with "ribbons";
  • three or four circles are performed this way, two threads are added to the field, the weaving continues;
  • when the bottom is done, another ribbon is added, the product is put on the can;
  • after reaching the required height, the tapes are folded, hiding under the tape of the last row;
  • the handle is made of three threads, which are twisted from above with a "pigtail";
  • the finished thing is decorated with bows of twine of a different color.

From paper or cardboard

The design of a thin cardboard, paper, which must first be shirred, is done easily and quickly. To do this, remove the top layer of corrugated cardboard so that it becomes flexible, painted with gouache, watercolor, acrylic, and other paint. Next, the material is cut into strips, about three to four cm wide. Of these, the following parts are made: one each 43 cm long and 36 cm long, four each 28 cm long. forming the bottom. The elements are interconnected with a stapler or glue. The thing turns out small, suitable as an original decorative packaging lightweight gift. Decorate the product with paper flowers.

From newspaper tubes

To create such an object, you will need several dozen double sheets of paper, a thin needle, PVA glue, an empty three-liter jar or other similar round container, acrylic paints, and lacquer in a can.

How it's done:

  • the newspaper is cut into strips that are wound on a needle, starting from the corner, the tip is fixed with glue;
  • tubes are painted white, gray, brown, any other color;
  • for a basket the size of a plate it will take about a hundred of such tubes, for a larger one, 200-400 pieces;
  • the tubes are folded in pairs, forming a cross, one long tube attached to the center, which is folded in two, weaving is made;
  • first racks are twisted two, later - each separately;
  • after a few more rows, additional stands are glued in between the main ones;
  • the product is put on the can and woven around it;
  • when the required height is reached, the stands are trimmed, and the pipes with which weave are increased by another color scheme (for example, blue;
  • two more working tubes are added - glued from the inside;
  • now it is woven like this: the extreme left tube is not wound up under the nearest, but under the fourth rack from it;
  • the same is done with the next tube;
  • the tips of all tubes are trimmed and hidden;
  • To make the product tough, it is primed with PVA glue or varnished.

Paper

The product woven from strips of paper is not too durable, but it is executed quickly, and the material costs of its production are practically absent. It is advisable to use "gray" wrapping paper - it is stronger, looks more beautiful, simple wallpaper will also work. For work use usual and figured scissors, a ruler, PVA glue, paper clips, ink for scrapbooking. You will also need a piece of cardboard to create a solid bottom.
You need to start with cutting paper into strips one or two centimeters wide, 40 cm long. There will be 12 of these needed.

Four more strips should have a length of 50 cm and one, wider - 60 cm. The first 12 strips are tinted, their edges are processed with curly scissors. Then a square of 10 cm by 10 cm is cut out of cardboard. 15 cm is measured on one of the short strips, glued to the bottom, and then another is glued perpendicularly, perpendicularly. The rest are glued, interlacing with each other, filling the entire bottom surface. The design is turned over, the stripes are folded up, they are twisted with four long details. After the handle is glued, which, like the whole product is decorated with sequins, bows.

  • Hearts and bows of lace fabric are glued on the outside.

Wicker basket

People have been weaving from willow twigs for a very long time - this material is flexible, completely natural. Willow grows on the banks of rivers, it is desirable to cut it in early spring or late fall. The branches should be flexible and mature. Preparation is made by soaking in cold water, which is changed daily - it takes two weeks. A faster option is boiling down for three hours. After the branch is cleaned of bark, dried.

To work you need an awl, side cutter, pliers, cargo. The bottom is made of eight twigs, four of them make a hole to fit through the other four - you get a cross. Then two branches are circled with four rods, so do two circles. After each rod of 16 braided separately. When the base is almost ready, add another twig.

After the rack-rods are bent at a right angle, weave to the desired height. The last row of draw a pigtail from a vine. To create a handle, a thick branch is taken, six thin rods are fastened next to it, with which the handle is twisted in a spiral. After two or three days, the construction will dry out and become usable.

In this basket you can collect mushrooms, berries, vegetables, fruits, herbs, etc.

From the roots of pine

Baskets made from the roots of conifers (pine, fir, spruce), come out very durable, textured. Obtain them from relatively young plants - no older than 30 years. The thickness of suitable roots - 2-6 mm, they are usually located at a depth of about one and a half meters. The roots, which are literally on the surface, are not suitable for work - they are difficult to split into ribbons.
The easiest way to get the material on the steep banks of reservoirs, cliffs. The right amount is chopped off with an ax. Cut, split the roots immediately, dried in the shade, before starting work soaked in warm water for 20-30 minutes. Weaving - similar to performed from the vine.

The basket darkens over the years, but due to the resinous material is stored for a long time.

Laundry basket with their own hands

The laundry basket is usually located in the bathroom, so it must be made of a material that does not deteriorate under the influence of high humidity. You can weave it from polymer twine, wicker. We need not weave too tightly so that the laundry in the basket is ventilated. For the stability of the product, a frame made of metal mesh is purchased or carried out on its own. The medium-sized product is made simpler: a plastic mesh bucket is taken on it, starting from the center of the bottom a thick cord is pasted in a spiral.

Crochet yarn basket

The easiest way to tie a round thing. A thick hook is taken, the threads are two times thinner than it. At first, one “rigid” loop is made; eight columns without a single crochet are knitted into it. Four more are added in the next row, plus six in the third, as in the fourth. Similarly, another three or five rows are knitted, after which the increases are stopped, the sides are made. To make the handles, there are seven air loops knitted on both sides, which are formed by two rows of single crochets. Sidewalls can be decorated with colored knitted butterflies.

If you want to tie the most rigid product, the thread should almost coincide with the hook in thickness.

Basket for toys on the frame

There are several design options for the nursery:

  • from the fabric stretched on a framework from a piece of linoleum;
  • textile - on a rigid wire frame;
  • from colored threads, on the basis of a perforated plastic bucket;
  • knitted, on a wooden frame.

On top of the product is supplied with handles to make it easier to move from place to place, a lid, also having a wire frame. If you make a few of these pieces, they will be able to put together almost all the toys, as well as children's things that have no place in the closet.

Sweet basket as a gift from sweets

As a basis for a sweet gift, they take a construction made of cardboard, a rod, and other material.

Also need:

  • sweets in shiny wrappers;
  • floristic wire;
  • Styrofoam;
  • film of two colors;
  • tapes;
  • Scotch;
  • stapler;
  • toothpicks;
  • hot glue;
  • scissors.

To begin with, the dark film is cut into small squares, with a side of 14 cm, light - with strips of 6 to 45 cm and 12 cm squares. Inside the product is pasted over with a film, on top is put foam plastic cut in the shape of a pyramid. Film squares are folded so that you get 8 corners, the middle is pierced with a toothpick. Next, a flower is formed, fixed with scotch tape. There are 22 such things, they are fixed on the sides. The floral wire is folded with an eyelet and glued to the candy wrapper. Light film is fixed with scotch tape around each candy, two squares of dark are added. Candy flowers are inserted into the foam - the product is ready.

Easter basket options

One of the main Easter symbols is an egg lying in a basket. Often the composition complements the chicken, bunny. Such a product made for Easter will decorate the festive table and will please children. It is made of cloth, thread, newspaper tubes, twine, wicker. For decorating use all kinds of ribbons, dried flowers, twigs, and other natural and artificial materials.

Basket newspaper chickens

The hen from a paper rod trudges, beginning from a bottom. For this, the tubes are taken at least eight, but in the process is added the same amount. They are woven over by a long tube, folded in half. When a suitable height is reached, a part of the tubing goes to the formation of the bird’s head and neck, the rest become the tail. On the sides leave a few rods from which to make a pen. Chicken head is decorated with cardboard or textile comb, beak, with small wings glued from the sides.

The bird can be painted by hand, varnished.

Fabric basket with rabbits

For work, you will need fabric of two colors, synthetic winterizer, satin ribbons, threads, needles, scissors, beads. The lower part of the "hare" is made of dark textiles, at the top there is a head with ears, carved according to a pattern. The bottom is made whole - the figures are separated from each other by machine stitching. The top is individual for each bunny, a sintepon is put inside. The bottom of the product is made of cardboard base with synthetic padding, covered with cloth. A soft pen is sewn on, faces are drawn to hares. Finished crafts are decorated with shiny buttons, lace, bows.

If the work is large enough, the hare faces are embroidered, eyes are made from buttons, or they are purchased suitable for the manufacture of soft toys.

Easter paper

From the pages of old glossy magazines will come a great spring basket of square shape. A square of 30 is cut by 30 cm, divided into nine identical pieces, the corner fragments are cut off, the center is left unchanged - this is the bottom. The side parts are notched in three to five places from the middle square, but not completely. To twist the basket, the strips are cut, after the handle is glued - it is usually made of two-layer. The side is decorated with paper loops.

From plastic cup

Weave a tiny basket even from a regular plastic cup, more precisely, from two, preferably in a different color. One is cut into centimeter strips from the edge downwards, the other - spirally, woven into the first. The handle is made of corrugated cardboard. There is another option - the glass is cut the same way as the first, but not to the very bottom. The strips are folded with rings, the handle is glued. The product is decorated with flowers from tissue paper, fur chickens, colored ribbons.

From salt dough

Salty dough is easy to make from three parts of flour, two parts of water, one - salt. Weaving it start from thin flour "sausages" that you need to roll out with a rolling pin. A can or pan, pre-oiled, is taken as the base. The dough is laid out in the form, the product is turned over, decorated with a pen-pigtail of the same material. Now what happened, two hours baked in the oven at a temperature of 100-110 degrees. The finished object is painted with acrylic paints. A more complex product is decorated with voluminous flowers, leaves, bunches of grapes, also molded from dough, but this should be done before baking.

Food or other suitable dye is permissible to add directly when mixing the dough.

Felt

Sewing, weaving of felt - a relatively new type of manufacturing of any gizmos. How to make a basket-box out of it:

  • You will need light, as dense as possible felt, from which cut two squares with a side of 30 cm;
  • we still need matching colors, contrasting floss, ruler, simple pencil, sewing needles;
  • two thick rectangles of 28 x 9 cm are measured and cut out on dense felt, one detail for the handle is 30 x 3 cm;
  • a circle with a diameter of 17.5 cm is cut from the second piece;
  • identical rectangles are sewn together with narrow butt sides, using neat straight stitches;
  • the bottom is sewn in the same way, then the handle;
  • the finished craftwork is decorated with embroidery, the edge and the handle are overlaid with bright floss threads, sewn contrasting felt roses, bird figures, etc.

Another way to make a basket: cut into colored strips of felt, two or three cm wide, intertwine them together. The product has a square bottom, a wide handle.

Conclusion
