Children's room 10 square. m: examples of modern design

A ten-meter nursery in the apartment "Khrushchev" accommodates everything one child needs, or the minimum necessary for two, if it is not possible to make separate bedrooms. The original design of the children's room is 10 square meters. m. is able to look cozy, to be comfortable for a child of any age and gender, creating a comfortable space for games, training sessions, and creativity.

We determine the zones in the nursery

The main areas of the nursery are equipped for:

  • rest, sleep;
  • games;
  • creativity;
  • changing clothes;
  • study;
  • sports activities.

When there are more than one children, working, the sleeping place is made separate for each one, maximally isolating. If they are already large, heterosexual - separate corners for dressing are required, this is foreseen in the project.

Positive aspects of the correct zoning of space:

  • teaches children to order - it is unlikely that many items will be placed here;
  • the room seems more spacious - especially when its finish is light;
  • a separate work area helps to focus on classes;
  • if there are several children, each receives a personal territory.

Zoning is done using:

  • sliding screens;
  • arches;
  • narrow shelving;
  • curtains;
  • podiums;
  • height differences of the ceiling;
  • screens;
  • different colors of the floor, walls, ceiling;
  • furniture items;
  • local lighting.

For two children with similar interests, some zones are combined.

Sleep area, rest

A fully rested child learns well, grows, develops, so the convenience of a sleeping place is in the foreground. It is best to buy an orthopedic mattress, the same pillow. The sleeping area is placed near the wall or in the center of the room, separated from the rest of the places by a screen, a wardrobe. Sometimes it is set up on the podium, but only if the child is not too small - otherwise it will be difficult for him to climb, there may be accidental injuries during the games. Near put a bedside table, a small bedside table.
A bunk bed is preferable for two children, while the older one usually sleeps on the top shelf. The design requires a stable, so that it can not be loosened, knocked over. Ladder top is mounted from the end. Children over the age of eight make a symmetrical loft bed - two beds are placed one after the other, there are stairs on both sides. Below are two separate desktops.

Study area

The computer, writing desk is equipped with shelves, drawers for notebooks, books, office, educational toys. Here, the kid draws, sculpts, deals with the application, the manufacture of handicrafts, and the schoolboy - with lessons. Here they hang up the multiplication table, class schedule, geographical map, blackboard on which they write with chalk, etc.
It is better to place this place by the window - for a right-handed schoolchild, the light falls on the left, for a left-handed person - on the right. For two, they put separate desktops or one large one, the space for each one is clearly separated, and lighted separately. In the presence of a well-insulated balcony, a loggia training area is placed there - then the windows make out with the help of rolshtor, which protect the eyes from the bright daytime sun. The balcony is partially or completely unified with the main room, the border is created with the help of an arch, a “crumbling” curtain.

The most practical table and chair "growing with the child", that is, adjustable in height.

Area for games, entertainment

The game zone is needed up to 10-12 years old, it is often combined with a sports zone, representing a rack with toys, a thick floor mat or gymnastic mat, ladders, a swing. Here are placed several poufs, inside of which it is also possible to lay down toys or a small soft sofa, also with roomy inner sections. Colored plastic storage boxes are placed on top of each other, a rack or cabinet - you can't do without them when there are a lot of toys.
It is not recommended to install a TV in the children's bedroom - it distracts from studies and creative activities. If the object is still there, it is fixed in a convenient place for viewing, where the probability of accidental breaking in the process of games is minimal.

Sharp corners here should also be avoided, especially if the children are small.

Lighting

Light is needed upper - the main, local lighting of each of the zones, decorative lights also decorate the room. When there are two children, a separate lamp is mounted above the bed of each of them, as well as above the desk - this is convenient if one is still engaged in lessons, and the second is already asleep.
Workplaces located far from the window are illuminated as brightly as possible. Above the bed, the lighting is adjustable - if it is supposed to be read in bed. LED lighting around the perimeter of the plinth will allow you not to stumble on the corner, if you have to get up at night. All lamps protect unbreakable, better reinforced shades, switches do not high from the floor, sockets - cover with covers.

Sufficiently cover the entire nursery completely, every corner of it - the baby can crawl into the dark nook, lose the rattle and hit something, and the student drop the pen and other stationery, which will also require searching.

Color spectrum

Color design depends on gender, age, personal preferences of young residents - the baby will be frightened by dark contrasts, the girl will prefer yellow-pink shades, the boy will like violet-blue tones, teenagers of both sexes often choose black and white.
It is important to consider the location of the windows of the room: when they go to the south, southeast, the colors will fit cold, even dark, to the north, north-west - extremely light, as warm as possible.
The most popular are:

  • amaranth with eggplant;
  • periwinkle with azure;
  • beige with pale red;
  • greenish yellow with beaver;
  • bronze with spring green;
  • cherry with light olive;
  • wisteria with fuchsia;
  • purple with orange-yellow;
  • amber with chocolate;
  • cement gray with black and red;
  • tangerine with pistachio;
  • violet with slate blue;
  • Tomato with Titian.

It is undesirable to use more than two or three colors in the interior of one room, but various shades are permissible.

Choosing functional furniture

The furnishing is selected as environmentally friendly, safe, state-of-the-art, preferably without sharp corners. The materials used are natural wood (oak, ash, larch, walnut, beech, pine, cherry, etc.), MDF or chipboard, natural upholstery fabrics. Children's furniture should be purchased from trusted manufacturers with hygienic certificates for all products.
Some firms sell it in complete sets, which include:

  • ordinary or bunk bed;
  • one or two bedside tables;
  • wardrobe;
  • chest of drawers;
  • writing desk with chair;
  • rack for toys with boxes;
  • hinged shelves.

Sometimes, a small children's sports complex, mounted on the back wall of the closet, the sidewall of a two-story bed, is sold with the furniture. The strength of this design should be checked at the stage of purchase.
Transformable furniture, such as a sofa bed, a wardrobe-sofa, a table-wardrobe is suitable for the room of a teenager who can already fold it. Storage areas for toys, clothes and hobby items are often located in the sliding drawers under the bed.

If there are two children, they need one closet, but each must have separate shelves, sections.

Features of decoration, room design

Finishing materials in the nursery are chosen mainly natural, do not emit harmful substances. The floor is preferably wooden or laminated, it is often made heated, the color is chosen two or three shades darker than the walls. The stone should not be used - it is quite cold, often slippery, it is easy to get injured when falling.
For walls suitable plastic, wood panels, washable wallpaper. Ordinary, paper, not suitable for kids who love to draw on them. Excessively vivid, expressive photo wallpapers are best avoided - they negatively affect the delicate childish psyche, and babies can be generally frightened. Preferred neutral motifs - low-key geometric shapes, floral ornaments, stripes, etc. The ceiling, depending on the design idea, is made of wood, drywall or tension, but always a little lighter than the walls. Sometimes there are several levels, each of which is brightly lit so that the room does not seem cramped.

The carpet is chosen large - almost the entire room, not reaching the walls of 20-25 cm. Such an item will successfully combine the main furnishings - a bed, a wardrobe, a table. In another embodiment, medium-sized rugs allocate one or two zones. All existing textiles are selected to match in color, texture, design. Fabrics are preferred natural, easily washable in a typewriter.
The room should fully reflect the child’s hobbies: an easel for a young artist, a piano or a guitar for a musician, a small winter garden for a future agronomist, etc. In a teenage room, zoning is done using a wooden partition with glass stained glass, but for younger ones this is not recommended.

For boy

Primary colors here are usually gray, blue, brown, blue. In the bedroom of a little boy, a sports area with a swedish wall, swings, rings, a slide is often organized; for a teenager, a narrow gymnastic bench and several dumbbells will take the swing. The interior style here is preferred marine, modern. The baby will like the bed in the form of a car, and the older one will be interested in the starry sky map on the entire ceiling, photo wallpaper with a realistic car, a spaceship. The windows here are decorated with simple straight curtains, blinds of any configuration will do. Chandelier in the shape of a helicopter will complement the overall picture in an original way.

The furniture is chosen rather coarse, strong, “male”, and the small decor here is practically absent.

For girl

For the girl's room, the standard furniture is complemented by a dressing table. Sometimes they have an aquarium or a cage with a hamster here - girls often like to tinker with animals. The style is suitable romantic, classic, colors preferred pink, orange, white and yellow. Here, "in the subject" will have multi-layer draperies on the windows, a canopy over the bed, a valance under the dressing table. For the baby, the room will be decorated with fabulous fairies, doll houses, butterflies, bunnies and kittens in pastel shades. A teenage girl would prefer a photo of her favorite musicians, cute souvenirs, posters with shots from youth films.
The mirror in the girl's room is located above the dressing table, less often done "in full growth", which is very convenient for sports activities, self-study dance. Elegant furnishings will make the interior complete.

For two children

With a large difference in age, jobs are made far away from each other so that the younger one does not interfere with the older one. Differently-sex children are sometimes partially or completely selected furniture of various colors - this is especially convenient with a symmetrical arrangement. The space above the bed, the study area is also designed differently - every child can do it with the help of adults. The main color of the room is desirable to choose some one. In the corner room with two windows, they are used as much as possible, placing working tables along each one, dividing the zones with an angular cupboard, screen, color.
Places for games for children of different sexes should preferably be made separate - girls prefer to play with soft toys, dolls in wheelchairs, toy houses, and boys prefer to play with robots, cars, and the railway. If the children's interests coincide in something, the playing area is made common, taking into account the wishes of both parties as much as possible, including about the color gamut.

A bunk bed is often placed in a narrow room, where there is no possibility to put two opposite each other.

Conclusion

A real bedroom with an area of ten square meters with proper zoning accommodates everything that one or two children need for rest, study, creativity, and entertainment. Its content entirely depends on the age, gender, occupation of children, their wishes. Older children arrange the room with their parents. If there are any problems with the arrangement, you can always turn to professional interior designers.
