When repairing it is important not only to refresh the interior, add space and achieve the most efficient use of residential meters, another important aspect is the work budget. Designers from Scandinavia often come across these difficult questions, and their experience should be used - the Swedish apartment interior has long been a symbol of high-quality and original repairs for little money.

As an example, consider a small apartment in Sweden. The house in which it is located, built almost a century ago, and has historical value. Designers emphasized this by exposing the brickwork and leaving it in the interior in this form. Immediately there was a special atmosphere that gives housing a “zest”. Strengthens a sense of antiquity and exclusivity of the floor of stone, which is also partially exposed and shares a kitchen zone living room.

The Swedish interior of the apartment is characterized by open free space, but initially the layout was very unsuccessful: the tiny rooms, which were also inconveniently located, made it impossible to observe all the principles of design. Therefore, repairs began with redevelopment.

In the process of work, it turned out that the brickwork of the walls looks very impressive, and it was decided to leave part of the wall in the kitchen area, turning it into an island. It is the worktop, dining table, and visual accent of the kitchen area. Doors removed - left only the one that closes the bathroom. This technique allowed to visually enlarge the apartment and make it lighter.

The living room area in the Swedish interior of the apartment looks traditional: restrained and laconic, it nevertheless has its own character: colorful and cushions made from different materials clearly indicate the sympathies of the hostess and give out her creative nature. The neutral white upholstery of the sofa and chairs serves as a counterbalance to this diversity.

The wide moldings on the ceiling did not touch during the repair, they tell about the rich history of the apartment. Antique items added to the interior also emphasize this.

The bedroom is separated from the entrance area and the kitchen, so it turned out to be almost isolated. This added to the interior of the intimacy zone. The wall at the headboard is covered with wallpaper with an elegant pattern - flowering branches of trees intertwine, forming a delicate pattern. In other places of the apartment wallpaper was not used.

The resulting quite modern interior has retained the special atmosphere of the time inherent in old houses.
