Design project from the studio "Mio": apartment in country style

A country-style apartment was designed by Volgograd designers at the request of the hostess. The main plus of the style is the use of mainly natural materials and natural shades in the decoration.

The style has many directions: American country, Russian country style, Provence and others. Despite some differences, it is possible to distinguish features common to all: the use of wooden beams on the ceiling, forged metal elements, simple patterns of fabrics (cage, strip). Another unifying detail: the fireplace as the main interior decoration.

Redevelopment

The layout of the apartment was not very successful: a small kitchen and a narrow unlit corridor prevented the creation of the atmosphere of a country house, so the designers decided to remove the partitions and combine the living room and kitchen in one volume. In order to accommodate a large storage system in the entrance area, the door leading to the bedroom was slightly moved.

Colour

The main color of the design of the apartment in the style of country has become a calm beige shade, complemented by the natural color of wood. The walls and the ceiling are painted in beige tones, the wood is used on the floor, in the furniture and in the decorative decoration of the walls and the ceiling.

Another additional color was a green grassy shade. It is present in the decoration of furniture, in curtains, in bed linen. The facades of the kitchen are also green - this is a traditional solution for country music.

Furniture

To make the furniture exactly fit the style, some of the necessary items were made according to the sketches of designers. Thus, a cabinet for spices and dry herbs appeared, a coffee table found a ceramic tabletop made of ornamented tiles, and the storage system in the entrance area fit exactly into the space reserved for it. Furniture for the kitchen ordered in the company "Maria", the bed - a budget option from IKEA.

Decor

The main decorative elements in the project were natural fabrics with a checkered pattern, most characteristic of country style. In addition, decorative brick was used in the finishing of the hallway, and in the bathroom and in the kitchen - patterned ceramic tiles. Additionally, the apartment was decorated with bunches of dry grass and forged metal elements.
